OVERVIEW

If you are looking for a career-focused qualification to enter the sought-after world of Cyber Security – then this course is for you!

This course overall focuses on the design and implementation of an organisation’s IT infrastructure together with the activities and roles that are carried out to keep your infrastructure safe from internal and external threats.

This course will additionally focus on understanding the features and procedures of cyber security through ethical hacking and penetration testing, using our off the network IT labs. You will be asked to consider how new technology and cyber security can be used to support and prevent businesses from being attacked. You will be designing and working with scenarios and examples of settings and technology to produce and address solutions to organisation needs.

You will understand the social, commercial and legal implications when using these technologies and be able to identify future impacts from the application of these new technologies.

On all our courses you will also develop professional, personal and social skills through interaction with peers, stakeholders and clients, as well theoretical knowledge and understanding to underpin these skills.

The course is assessed by a mixture of internal and external methods. Internally assessed units will be in the form of Projects that consist of two to four assignments per unit. Externally assessed units will be examined units. There will be two examined units per year.
