OCCUPATIONAL PROFILE

Data analysts are highly skilled professionals who collect, organise and study data. Day to day, they are typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data across the network infrastructure. They report their findings and make recommendations that are key to improving business performance.

This innovative degree apprenticeship has been developed in partnership with industry employers and will equip you with the business, technology, interpersonal and project management skills that have been identified as vital for the sector.

Over the course of 4 years, you’ll study part-time on campus at Queen Mary, learning alongside students on our BSc Digital Technology Solutions (Software Engineering) pathway.

On the other days of the week, you’ll carry out work-based learning with one of our partner employers, PwC.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

The BSc Digital Technology Solutions (Data Analyst) programme combines academic study work experience with your chosen employers in a block release delivery model.

Modules are offered in one Semester Block per academic year where students will be attending university full time, while engaging in full-time work outside this period.

The work-based modules are a unique feature of the degree apprenticeship and are offered while students are working full time with the employer.

Throughout your journey, you’ll be supported by a team of dedicated staff from both the School and employer who will help you, coach, to develop the knowledge skills and behaviours.

You’ll receive approximately three to four hours of weekly contact time per module, comprising lectures led by academic staff and tutorials and lab sessions.

You’ll have access to well-designed resources for this self-directed study, and we will pair you with a specialist advisor to support your progress throughout your apprenticeship leading to the End Point Assessment Gateway.

Furthe information about teaching, facilities and assessment is available from the Queen Mary website.
