What is Amazon Career Choice?
Amazon’s Career Choice Programme is an educational benefit that empowers Amazon employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere.
Eligible employees interested in data analysis can advance their career with the support of Amazon Career Choice and the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT), a collaboration between Queen Mary University of London and Newham College.

What programmes can I take with LCIoT?
LCIoT has an approved Pre-Apprenticeship Level 3 Data Analyst programme for Amazon Career Choice students.
Amazon Data Analyst Pre-Apprenticeship Programme
The Amazon Data Analyst Pre-Apprenticeship Programme, delivered in partnership with the LCIoT, offers Amazon associates a unique opportunity to progress onto a Level 4 apprenticeship and ultimately an exciting career in this field.
This programme includes highly sought-after micro-credentials in:
- Data Analysis
- Data Security
- Sourcing & Handling Data
- Data Analysis for Business
- Presenting Data
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths, Excel training, and more.
Upon completing the Level 3 programme, you can apply for the Amazon Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship in February 2026. This could then ultimately lead onto the Amazon Data Analyst Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship where you could secure a fee-free degree.
Entry Requirements: To secure your place on the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme, entry requirements must be met. Once you register, we will contact you to discuss the next steps.
Application deadline: Monday 25 August 2025
Programme start: Monday 1 September 2025
Programme end: Tuesday 3 February 2026
Delivery Mode: The course will principally be delivered online 1 day per week, however there will be some short mandatory in-person attendance required at the start of the programme in September (2 days), at the mid-point in November (2 days) and towards the end of the programme in January (2 days).

We will arrange a convenient time to discuss the programme with you in greater detail before confirming your place.
3 – Career Choice Confirmation
Once your application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation from the LCIoT team to set up your account. We will provide you with a confirmation code to upload to the Career Choice Platform.
4. Request Payment from Amazon Career Choice:
i. Visit A to Z and submit a payment request for your chosen school and program.
ii. The request will be sent to the school to confirm course level details, and either
approve or deny the request.
iii. If approved, Amazon pays the school directly!
